The difference between the family doctor and doctors of other specializations is a complex approach to a patient.
Family doctor is a highly qualified specialist with the necessary knowledge and skills not only in the field of internal medicine, pediatrics, geriatrics, but also in related narrow specialties such as: ophthalmology, otolaryngology, neurology, dermatology, cardiology and others. Also, family doctor’s competence includes the fields of hygiene, therapeutic nutrition and phytotherapy.
A family doctor uses a complex approach to the problems of the whole organism, revealing pathologies and predisposition for illnesses, including analysis of heredity and lifestyle of a particular family. Therefore, we treat a person and not pathology.
Complex approach: simultaneous treatment of both acute and chronic conditions of the patient, organization of necessary health and medical measures for the patient.
A family doctor has a comprehensive approach to the treatment of the most common diseases, such as:
- gastrointestinal tract diseases
- cardiovascular system diseases
- respiratory system diseases (bronchitis, pneumonia)
- Metabolic disease
- different kinds of influenza virus and diseases like ARVI(Acute respiratory viral infection).
- urinary system diseases
